Brand new. I never even opened the box. I actually bought another remote shutter release later without realizing that I had previously bought this one. I have still yet to use that one either, though.
The model number on top is RW-N2. At B&H it's VERWN2. Compatible with Nikons that have a DC-2 connection. The box lists compatibility with D90/D3100/D5100/D700, but should work with later models like D610, D750, D3200, D5300 and D7100 too (as listed by B&H).
