Unopened, unused Lenore DOSKOW handmade Sterling Silver Teddy Bear Motif Ribbon Bookmark from 1977. Lenore DOSKOW was a New York City and then Upstate New York Artist who worked in Silver. Her works are in Museums and cherished by collectors. Teddy is 1 1/4” long, 3/4” wide. The Silver Sword part of this bookmark is 1 7/8” long, 3/8” wide. The whole bookmark weighs 1/2 ounce. Bookmark is 13 1/2” long, sword tip to Teddy’s feet, both attached to a cloth grosgrain type weave ribbon of purple, red, green, and blue vertical stripes of different widths and some zigzagging. Teddy’s arms are folded. Ears, eyes, nose, and feet are the features on this chubby Teddy. Plastic wrap is sealed, all pictures were taken without opening the wrap. Signed on the Sterling Sword, “LENORE DOSKOW HANDMADE STERLING.” Collectible and adorable. Very rare. Unheard of to find a 1977 piece like this still sealed, never opened, never used. A real time capsule. This is a piece of Silver Art, Americana.
